ACT & SAT TEST PREPARATION

"A good test prep tutor is like a doctor who needs to be able to diagnose the student's weaknesses quickly, then build them up." Our ACT and SAT tutors all attended one of the top 50 schools in the U.S.

Our ACT tutors have all scored a 30 or higher on the ACT, and some of them have even received a perfect 36 score. These tutors are very experienced in the techniques needed to optimize and increase your ACT score, and they are experts in helping high school students to accomplish this.

Our SAT tutors have all scored 2000 or higher on the SAT (1300 or higher on the new SAT), and some of them have even received a perfect score. These tutors are very experienced in the techniques needed to optimize and increase scores on the SAT, and they are experts in helping high school students increase their scores. We can also bring you a homeschool teacher who is a test prep expert to help your child prepare.

It typically takes an average of 14 sessions of 90 minutes each (21 hours instructional time total) to review all sections of the ACT or SAT. Each tutoring session is expected to be 1.5 hours, although you can add more time if needed. Additional time will be billed at the hourly rate. (For international students who speak a language other than English as their first language, this time will double.)

That means that, for most students, it is a good idea to begin the tutoring at least three months before the test date. For students who require more extensive help in certain subjects or English as a Second Language, it is recommended that they begin 5-6 months in advance of the test date.

Our tutors work to develop a personalized study plan for every student. Each student is unique with strengths and weaknesses that must be assessed, although there are certain basic strategies tutors follow for all to help improve scores. Our tutors who have achieved high scores themselves have insight into specific methods they used to increase their scores, and that reflects in their experience when tutoring and helping to increase the scores of their students.

An average of 2.5 hours of homework per each session is expected, and our tutors will encourage students to take practice tests (slightly under 4 hours each) before the actual test. Taking the practice tests are the only way to measure that a student is able to apply the techniques and strategies from tutoring to the actual ACT and SAT.

We will not ask you to register until we confirm a schedule with you and one of our tutors who we feel will be a good fit. To register for ACT or SAT test prep tutoring will require your signature on our signup form, and payment for the first four sessions with your working credit card on file. (For international students, we will require payment for the full program up front. You can discontinue at any time with 24 hours notice, minus our 20% refund fee.) Once we have these items, we will schedule the first session with your tutor. After your first four sessions are completed, we will continue to bill the credit card on file at the end of each week for as long as you continue. You can discontinue at any time with 24 hours notice.

Unlike other test prep companies, we don't charge registration fees, and you can discontinue at any time with 24 hours notice. That's how confident we are that you will see results that make you happy with our service. See our Guarantee.
