Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for a private homeschool teacher in-person for a 1st grader with ADHD. An experienced, patient and kind elementary teacher who will teach all academic subjects. This is a great opportunity for the right teacher: a private tutoring position Monday-Friday mornings from 8am-12pm that pays $50/hour ($1000/week). This is an immediate opening for the current school year.

Responsibilities include teaching and guiding the child to learn from parent-approved curricula (parent is open to collaborating with new teacher about curricula or continuing with what they have been using), reviewing topics and assignments, assisting student with work, assessing and filling in any learning gaps, and reacting and adopting education to the individual child. Parents will also require that the teacher take up to date continuing education courses and receive a certificate of completion for teaching children with ADHD (regardless of prior experience). Parents will pay for all required courses and training.

The right teacher will be patient, kind and compassionate, with a happy disposition, and consistently be able to provide passive redirection and positive reinforcement. Looking for a teacher who is helpful, engaging, and intuitive, with good communication who can work well as a team with ABA therapists and parents.

Teacher candidates should have BA or BS and a minimum of five years of professional elementary teaching experience, as well as some experience working with students who have ADHD. July off in the summer, and other possible time off can be arranged and discussed in advance. Looking for a long-term relationship with the right teacher.

Requirements

- Must have a BA or BS and minimum of 5 years professional elementary teaching experience, including some experience working with students with ADHD.
- Must be willing to take up to date ADHD continuing education courses as required by client. (Client will pay for all courses and training.)
- Must have your own reliable transportation & cell phone, and must travel to the home of the client in Oviedo FL 32765 Monday-Friday mornings from 8am-12pm.
