Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for a teacher/academic coach/mentor/tutor to provide 1-to-1 private homeschool education in-person for a 15 year old boy with a 504 at his home or a nearby library in Cumming, GA 30040, so he can graduate. A male teacher is preferred, since the student is male. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a part-time private tutoring position assisting one student Monday-Thursday afternoons from 12pm-4pm that pays $50/hour ($800/week).

Looking for a teacher/mentor who can act as a tutor and academic coach for all subjects using the student's James Madison high school curriculum. Patience is required, some prior special education or classroom inclusion experience is preferred. Looking for a teacher who is kind, creative and engaging with a sense of humor. The right teacher will be casual but focused, and reactive to the student's abilities. Looking for a teacher/tutor to fill the role of an academic mentor/life coach for this student, so he can graduate successfully and attend an NCAA college.

Knowledge of multiple high school subjects at the 10th grade level and minimum BA/BS is required, as well as prior experience in a professional capacity either teaching in the high school classroom or professionally tutoring high school students. Must be comfortable assisting high school-aged students who have a learning delay with multiple subjects, and must be adaptable to working with the student's curriculum.
