Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for a full-time homeschool teacher to provide 1-to-1 private instruction in all subjects in-person for a girl in 11th grade at her home. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time position teaching only one student Monday-Friday from 8:30am-2:30pm that pays $75k/year + Health Insurance (Medical, Dental & Vision). This is an immediate opportunity for this school year. A female teacher is preferred, since the student is female.

Looking for a teacher who can teach all 11th grade high school subjects using the student's homeschool curriculum, while keeping the student engaged, learning, improving and hitting goals. (Parents are open to collaborating with the right teacher regarding which curriculum is used.) Looking for a teacher who can fill the role of private high school teacher, academic mentor and life coach to keep the student on track and make sure she graduates.

The right teacher will be engaging, focused, patient when explanation is needed, and able to incentivize and inspire, yet stern when necessary. Looking for a teacher with good communication and organization skills to keep the student on track. Must have the ability to monitor and assist with various subjects. Mainly, the teacher will teach the subjects, provide general academic coaching and overall engagement for accountability, time management and encouragement.

Minimum of a BA/BS and 2 years prior professional experience teaching high school students in the classroom is required. Teacher certification and/or minimum 5 years full-time teaching experience is preferred. Must be comfortable teaching and assisting students with multiple subjects at the high school level, study skills and time management.
