Teachers To Go is looking for a middle school/elementary classroom teacher with specific special needs experience in dyslexia and 2E ASD, to teach all core subjects in-person for a 13 year old boy and a 7 year old girl at their home in Everett, WA 98208 Monday-Thursday afternoons from 12pm-4pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a part-time homeschool teacher position that pays $85/hour plus 6 hours of weekly admin time at your own location ($1870/week).

Looking for a teacher who is able to teach and facilitate all subjects for an intelligent twice-exceptional boy with ASD/ADHD in 7th grade, and a girl with dyslexia in 2nd grade using the family's chosen subject-based homeschool curricula. The teacher will work alongside the parent to identify educational needs, develop plans, and maintain weekly records of student progress, then review with the parent. (The teacher will collaborate with the parent, who will act as the co-teacher when the teacher is not there. The family currently uses a combination of subject-based curricula, but is open to collaborating with the teacher regarding which curriculum is used.)

The right teacher will be highly intelligent, empathetic, happy & positive and flexible, yet organized & focused. Looking for a teacher who is reactive to each student's needs but can also provide structure. Must be comfortable with and have prior experience working with dyslexia, 2E autism and ADHD. Looking for a teacher who can engage and inspire students, and facilitate joy in learning.

Teacher candidates should have at least a BA/BS and a minimum of one year professional teaching experience in either a special education or inclusion classroom. (State-certification is preferred.) Must be highly intelligent and comfortable teaching all subjects up through 8th grade level. Looking for a long-term relationship with the right teacher. Must have your own reliable transportation and cell phone, and must be able to travel to the home of the students in person in Everett, WA 98208 Monday-Thursday afternoons from 12pm-4pm.
