Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for a part-time teacher with special needs reading comprehension expertise after school hours to tutor a 14 year old girl with autism (1st-6th grade adaptive) in-person at her location in Bethel Park, PA 15102. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right special education reading teacher: a part-time position tutoring one student after school Monday-Thursday from 3:30pm-5:00pm (3 days instead or one of the days Saturday morning is also ok) that pays $75/hour ($112.50/visit).

Looking for a qualified teacher with extensive experience working with autistic students in either intervention, special education or inclusion environments to provide reading comprehension plus other ELA/writing and a little bit of math tutoring after school. Teacher will develop a rapport with the student and help her improve reading comprehension and other abilities to improve her academic foundation. Teacher will also communicate regularly and provide parents with regular updates. Teacher should be able to suggest and use appropriate chosen materials for the purpose of working with the student to accomplish goals.

Minimum BA/BS with ELA reading comprehension and special needs experience, and at least 2 years prior professional experience working with students with autism is required. State certification is preferred. Must be comfortable teaching and tutoring high school-aged students with autism.
