Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person elementary teacher with ASD & ADHD experience this summer to teach all core subjects to a 1st grade boy at his home in South Pasadena, CA 91030 from May 27th-June 14th & July 22nd-August 9th, Monday-Friday from 10am-3pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time position at the beginning and end of summer (the first 3 weeks and the last 3 weeks) teaching one student that pays $70/hour ($1,750/week) ($10,500 total all 6 weeks).

Looking for a teacher who is able to teach and facilitate all subjects for boy in 1st grade with ADHD and high-functioning autism using his private school curriculum. (The family will provide access to the curriculum used, but is also willing to collaborate with the right teacher about additional materials & curriculum that the teacher recommends.) The teacher will work with the student for three weeks at the beginning and end of summer to identify educational needs, teach and tutor all subjects, and review progress with the parent.

The right teacher will be energetic, experienced, engaging, fun but firm, patient, motivating with a warm personality, and reactive to the student. Looking for a teacher who is able to break things down into segments (digestible bites), who can be creative and also include hands-on learning. Must be comfortable working with young students who are smart with ADHD and high-functioning autism.

Teacher candidates should have at least a BA and a minimum of three years professional teaching experience in either a special education or inclusion classroom. Requirements: BA/BS plus minimum three years professional full-time inclusion or SPED classroom teaching experience (state-certification is preferred) and prior experience teaching ADHD & autistic students is required. Must be comfortable teaching all subjects at 1st grade level. Must have your own reliable transportation and cell phone, and must be able to travel to the home of the student in person in South Pasadena, CA 91030 this summer from May 27-June 14 and July 22-August 9, Monday-Friday from 10am-3pm. Must have good communication skills and be willing to use the student's private school curriculum.
