Teachers To Go is looking for an experienced physics teacher middle through high school who can teach and train students for competitions and advanced placement, to privately teach two students (a boy in 7th grade and a girl in 5th grade) in-person for 2 hours/day, 3 days/week at their home in Setauket, NY 11733. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right physics teacher: a part-time position that pays $200/hour ($1200/week) teaching only two students for just six hours weekly. (Two additional days may be added if the physics teacher can also teach either chemistry, biology or computer science as well.)

Looking for a qualified physics teacher with minimum 3-5 years teaching experience who is enthusiastic about the subject and can teach in a way that is creative and engaging. Must have extensive classroom experience and be able to write and teach a customized physics curriculum for two children who are homeschooled. (The parents are open to collaborating with the right teacher about which curriculum is used.)

The right teacher will have a breadth of knowledge about physics and be engaging and passionate about the subject. Teacher applicants should be able to come up with customized lesson plans, and train students for AP and competitions like the F=MA and Physics Bowl, explaining clearly and providing creative examples to facilitate learning and mastery of the subject. Looking for a teacher who is reactive to students and able to tell if they are understanding the material, who has a good balance between friendly and engaging yet firm.

Minimum BA with 3-5 years experience teaching physics is required. Minimum MA with AP and competition coaching experience is preferred. Teachers To Go has been offering classroom teachers private job opportunities with flexible scheduling and competitive pay since 2007.
