Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for a middle school teacher to provide online private tutoring in all subjects for a 13 year old boy using his 6th grade Keystone school curriculum. This is a great opportunity for the right teacher: a part-time online private homeschool teaching position for the upcoming 2024/2025 school year, tutoring just one student three hours daily four days a week beginning anytime as early as 9:30am to as late as 1:30pm, that pays $30/hour. (Must commit for the entire year.)

Looking for a professional middle school classroom teacher who is proficient at teaching and tutoring both ELA (writing & reading) and math at the 6th grade level. The right teacher will be patient, motivating & encouraging, engaging, organized and creative (ie: able to utilize multiple online options to engage and explain). Looking for a teacher who is consistent and able to help keep the student on track with his online Keystone school program.

Responsibilities include: live virtual teaching and guiding the student to learn from his remote school curriculum, coaching and developing his active learning and organization skills, supervising and supporting lesson completion and time management, and providing general teaching and tutoring as needed. Requirements
- Minimum of a BA with 2 years of professional middle school teaching experience is required. Prior experience teaching and tutoring virtually is required. Must be able to teach and tutor ELA, math and other core subjects at the 7th grade level.
- Prior experience working with a homeschool curriculum is a plus. Prior experience working with students with a 504 or mild learning differences and difficulty breaking down multi-step instructions is a plus.
- Must be able to teach live virtually for three hours daily four days a week, anytime between the hours of 9:30am and 4:30pm.
- Must be able to commit for the entire calendar year.
- Must be willing to interview via live video chat.
