Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person part-time private teacher to teach all core subjects to a 6th grade boy at his home in Phoenix, AZ 85086 Monday-Thursday mornings from 8am-12pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right middle school teacher: a part-time homeschool teaching position that pays $65/hour ($1040/week). This is an immediate opportunity for the current school year.

Looking for a teacher who is able to teach all subjects for a boy in 6th grade using the family’s chosen homeschool curriculum. (The parents will choose and supply the curriculum, but also will collaborate with the right teacher about which curriculum is used.) The teacher will teach all subjects, work to identify educational needs, and review progress with the parents.

The right teacher will be positive and engaging but strong-willed and able to keep the student on task and moving forward. Looking for a teacher who is experienced and understands common core, who is also intuitive and reactive to the student. Additional prior homeschool and/or 1-to-1 teaching or tutoring experience is a plus. An extra-curricular like art, music, or a second language is also a plus but not required.

Teacher candidates should have at least a BA and a minimum of two years professional classroom teaching experience. State-certification is preferred, but not required.
