Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person Spanish immersion teacher to teach all 1st grade subjects in Spanish after school hours to a girl in her home. This is a great opportunity for the right bilingual teacher: a part-time private teaching position teaching one student three days a week after school for 2.5 hours from 4pm-6:30pm (one of the days could be on the weekend instead) that pays $40/hour ($100/each visit).

Looking for an early elementary Spanish immersion teacher who is patient, resourceful, observant and creative. The right teacher will know how to provide positive reinforcement and possess the balance between challenging the student and not pushing too hard. Ability to teach all subjects at the 1st grade level in Spanish and communicate in English as well is required. Fully bilingual and equally comfortable teaching and speaking in both languages is preferred.

The right teacher should be able to recommend and provide curricula and materials for the student to learn all core subjects at the 1st grade level entirely in Spanish. (The parent is open to suggestions from the right teacher about which curriculum or curricula is used.) Prior Montessori experience is a plus, but not required. Teacher candidates should have a minimum BA or BS and at least one year of teaching experience.

Requirements
Must have a minimum BA or BS, and at least 1 year of professional teaching experience. Prior experience with Montessori techniques and/or teaching early elementary students in the classroom is preferred. Ability to teach all subjects at the 1st grade level entirely in Spanish and also communicate to the parents in English is required. Full bilingual Spanish/English ability is preferred. Must have your own reliable transportation & cell phone, and must be able to travel to the home of the student in Minneapolis, MN 55405 three days a week in the afternoon from 4pm-6:30pm (one of the days could be on a weekend), and must be willing to interview via live video chat and in person in Minneapolis, MN 55405.
