Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for a full-time in-person homeschool teacher for a twice-exceptional 8 year old boy at his home. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time position teaching only one student Monday-Friday from 8:30am-3pm that pays $65k/year.

This is an immediate opportunity for the current school year. Looking for an elementary school teacher to teach all core subjects to a boy who is profoundly gifted (currently at 4th grade level) but also has ADHD, using an appropriate accredited homeschool curriculum aligned to state standards. (The parents are open to collaborating with the right teacher about which curriculum is used.)

The right teacher should have prior experience (either inclusion or SPED) working with students who have ADHD or autism. Some experience working with twice exceptional students is preferred. Looking for a teacher who is calm and flexible (who can react to the needs of the student), intelligent, creative and engaging. Looking for a teacher who has a sense of humor, is passionate about knowledge, and who can use creativity to take the student’s interests and make them teachable.

Minimum of a BA/BS and 5 years of teaching experience is required. Must be comfortable teaching and assisting students with all subjects at least through 5th grade level, as well as providing documentation and facilitating assessments.
