Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for a full-time homeschool teacher to provide private instruction in all subjects in-person for a boy in 7th grade at his father’s office location in 75201. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time position teaching one student Monday-Friday from 8:30am-3pm that pays $75k/year. This is a current opportunity right now available for this school year and continuing on for 2025/26.

Looking for a teacher who is warm yet firm (ie: firm but fair) who can teach all subjects at the 7th-8th grade level using the appropriate homeschool curriculum. The parent is open to collaborating with the right teacher about which curriculum is used, however it must be accredited since the boy is academically strong and college bound.

The right teacher will have a minimum of three years teaching experience (science teaching experience is a plus), and be able to explain the “why” to a smart and curious student. Looking for a teacher who is laid back but can also set boundaries, who is honest and reliable, and who is calm-assertive with a sense of humor. The right teacher will also enjoy occasional education-related outings, and be able to relate to and engage an energetic 13 year old boy.

A minimum of a BA/BS and 3 years professional teaching experience is required, along with Texas state teacher certification. Must be comfortable teaching and assisting with all subjects through 8th grade level.
