Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person private special education teacher for a 5 year old girl with ADHD, mild cerebral palsy, and possible level 1 ASD at her home in Cypress, TX 77429 four days per week, mornings from 10am-12pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a part-time private homeschool teaching position teaching only one student that pays $75/hour ($600/week). A female teacher is preferred, since the student is female. This position is available to begin any time between now and June 1st, but will continue through next school year at least until May 2026.

Looking for a teacher with special education experience who is able to teach homeschool using a multi-sensory approach, and who is also familiar with TEKS standards at the kindergarten level. The right teacher will be able to teach all subjects and engage the student, keep records of lesson plans, provide testing and assessments in partnership with the child’s parents, work to identify educational needs, and review progress with the parents. (The parents are willing to collaborate with the right teacher about which curriculum is used, and will supply any needed materials.)

The right teacher will be fun and engaging with a sense of humor, and gentle but able to set limits and boundaries. Looking for a teacher who has good communication with both the student and parents, and who can be direct with the parents. (Must have a neurodivergent affirming/inclusive mindset.) Teacher candidates should have a minimum BA and Texas state teacher certification, and at least 5 years of classroom or homeschool teaching experience. (A minimum of 1 year special education teaching experience is also required.)
