Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for an in person private high school teacher to travel with a family full-time and provide 1-to-1 private instruction in all subjects for a 17 year old boy in 10th grade and a 15 year old boy and girl who are both ahead of grade level using their online homeschool curriculums. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time travel position teaching three high school students Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm (includes some admin and lesson planning time) that pays $100,000/year + housing + 6 weeks paid time off and free travel. This is an immediate opportunity for the current school year.

A minimum BA degree (Masters preferred), North Carolina teacher certification and at least two years teaching high school is required. Applicants must have the ability to teach all subjects at the high school level, and must be comfortable teaching using each student’s online high school curriculum while working with them on the road under sometimes challenging travel conditions. (Must be able to adapt teaching plans to fit various time zones, locations and schedules.)

The right teacher will be enthusiastic with youthful energy (physically able to travel internationally under difficult conditions), yet able to demonstrate high flexibility, discretion, and professionalism at all times, while fostering strong mentor-student relationships built on trust and academic excellence. Requirements: Minimum BA and North Carolina teacher certification with at least two years of experience teaching high school, MA or MS in secondary education is preferred. Must have the ability to teach all subjects at the high school level and must be comfortable teaching using each student’s online high school curriculum while traveling. Must have a passport and be physically able to travel nationally and abroad under difficult conditions. Must have a driver’s license with clean driving record, and must be able to live and teach on location and travel with the family full-time.
