Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person special education teacher with severe autism experience to teach a 12 year old boy at his home in Lubbock, TX 79363 Monday-Friday mornings from 8am-12pm (or 9am-1pm). This is a wonderful opportunity for the right special education teacher: a part-time morning position teaching just one student that pays $50/hour ($1000/week). This is an immediate opportunity for the current school year.

Looking for a teacher who is able to create and teach a customized IEP that includes helping with behavior modification and life skills for a 12 year old boy with severe autism. (The family is willing to defer to the right teacher about the IEP and curricula.) Some knowledge of ABA is a plus, but not required. The teacher will work to identify educational and other needs, and review progress with the parents.

The right teacher will be patient, calm, reactive to the student and able to redirect with strategic breaks. Looking for a teacher who is encouraging and able to provide positive reinforcement, who is passionate about helping students with severe learning differences. Looking for a teacher who is reactive to the student's needs, but who can also provide structure and help him move forward. Must be comfortable working with students who have level 3 autism.

Teacher candidates should have at least a BA/BS, and a minimum of two years professional teaching experience working with students with mid to severe level autism.
