Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person homeschool teacher for a very smart 12 year old girl with high-functioning autism in 6th grade at her home in Jefferson City, MO 65109. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time position with part-time hours Monday-Thursday from 9am-3pm (24 hours/week) teaching one student that pays $55k/year. A female teacher is preferred since the student is female. This is an immediate opportunity for the current 2025/26 school year.

Looking for a special education or inclusion teacher who is able to teach homeschool and facilitate all subjects for an intelligent twice-exceptional 12 year old girl with very high-functioning autism, ADHD and anxiety. The family is willing to collaborate with the right teacher about which curriculum will be used, but she has been homeschooled since 2nd grade and they have been using Liberty University Online Academy.

The student is very bright and excels academically (she is reading at a high school level), but her social emotional learning is about 7 years old. The teacher will work with the student M-Th from 9am-3pm for teaching hours. The teacher will identify educational needs, teach all subjects, and review progress with the parents.

Looking for a teacher who is patient, optimistic and positive, who can relate well to a smart 12 year old girl with autism and ADHD. The right teacher will be calm and able to deescalate, and won’t take meltdowns personally. Candidates should be comfortable teaching all subjects at least through middle school to early high school level.

Teacher candidates must be have at least a BA and a minimum of three years professional classroom teaching experience in either a special education or inclusion classroom environment.
