Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person late-elementary or middle school classroom teacher to teach all core subjects to two girls (9 &10 years old) at their home in 14127 south of Buffalo, NY. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time position with part-time hours, Monday - Thursday from 9am-3pm with Fridays off that pays $80,000/year. A female teacher is preferred, since the students are female. This is an immediate opportunity for the current school year.

Looking for a full-time late elementary/early middle school classroom teacher who is fully qualified and able to teach and facilitate all core subjects for grades 4-7, who will be responsible for implementing and overseeing a homeschool curriculum for both students. The oldest is a year ahead of grade level, and most likely gifted. Responsibilities include teaching and guiding the children to learn from parent-approved curricula. (The parents are open to collaborating with the teacher about the curriculum, but the curriculum might be Christian-based.)

The teacher will review homeschool topics and assignments, assess the students to challenge and/or fill in any learning gaps, and react and adopt the homeschool education to each individual child. At times, teaching outside and/or taking breaks with the girls and being able to have fun and keep up with them physically is also important. (The family has room set up for the education to take place at the home, but they could also designate a separate building location for schooling at the teacher’s option.)

The right teacher will be intelligent, engaging, positive, creative and enthusiastic. Looking for a teacher who is energetic, exciting, fun and inspiring, who can relate to kids in a way where they can be themselves. Most of all, the teacher should enjoy teaching while she is working with the kids and really want to be there. Applicants should have excellent communication skills, and be able to teach via Zoom when the family is traveling or travel with them at the teacher’s option. (The basic yearly calendar will be September to mid-May, with summer break and main holidays off.)

Teacher candidates should have a minimum BA or BS (specifically in education is preferred) and at least 1 year of professional teaching experience (full-time classroom is preferred).
