Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person early elementary teacher to homeschool two girls (a 6 year old and a 3 year old) in Alpine, NJ 07620. This is a great opportunity for the right teacher: a part-time position in the mornings teaching just two students Monday-Friday from 8:30am-1:30pm (or 8:30am-12:30pm at teacher’s option) that pays $50/hour ($1250/week). This is an immediate opportunity for the current school year. A female teacher is preferred, since the students are female.

Looking for an early elementary teacher with learner-led experience to plan and implement daily lessons across all core subjects for both children. The parents are willing to collaborate with the teacher about which curriculum is used, however the parents do not want the curriculum to be screen-based or to have any religious aspect. (Montessori or other learner-led, hands-on curriculum is preferred.)

The right teacher will be fun, dynamic, exciting, interesting and kind. Looking for a teacher who is organized with good communication, who can relate to and develop a good rapport with 3-6 year old children. Ideally, the right teacher will also enjoy teaching outside when weather permits, and have the ability to teach remotely at times when the family is traveling.

Teacher candidates should have a minimum BA in early childhood education or a related field, and at least 2 years of teaching experience working with children ages 3-6. Montessori or other learner-led experience with state certification is preferred, but not required.
