Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person homeschool teacher for a 14 year old boy in 8th grade to tutor him using his online public school curriculum at his home in Graham, WA 98338. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a part-time tutoring position just one day a week for 4 hours (or two days a week for 2 hours each) that pays $75/hour. This is an immediate opportunity for the current 2025/26 school year.

Looking for a teacher who is able to tutor public school virtual curriculum 8th grade level subjects to help a 14 year old boy catch up in his classes. The teacher will come one day a week for 4 hours in the morning or afternoon (or two days a week for 2 hours each at the teacher’s option) to assess and identify educational needs, teach and reinforce academic subjects, and review progress with the parents.

Looking for a teacher who is laid-back yet focused, experienced and knowledgeable. The right teacher will be able to communicate with the student and develop a rapport with an introverted soft-spoken teenage boy who struggles more with math and science than other subjects. The focus will be tutoring, reinforcing and improving his basic academic skills in each subject, so he will have a stronger academic foundation. Prior experience teaching 8th grade students is preferred, but not required.

Teacher candidates must have at least a BA and a minimum of two years professional teaching experience. State certification is preferred, but not required. Teachers To Go has been offering classroom teachers private job opportunities with flexible scheduling since 2007.

Requirements: BA/BS plus minimum two years professional teaching experience is required. State teacher certification is preferred. Must be comfortable teaching/tutoring all core subjects at the 8th grade level. Experience specifically teaching 8th grade is preferred, but not required.
