Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person Texas-certified private teacher to homeschool a 7 year old boy in 2nd grade at his home in Cypress, TX 77433. This is a great opportunity for the right teacher: a part-time position Monday-Friday either from 8:30am-1:30pm or afternoons from 12-5pm (teacher’s choice) teaching just one student that pays $40/hour ($1000/week). (One of the paid daily hours can be designated for lesson planning/admin time.) This is an immediate opportunity for the current school year.

Looking for a teacher who will be responsible for all homeschool requirements for a 7 year old boy who is a fast learner but needs 1-to-1 attention. (The student is overall smart and inquisitive, but struggles a bit with reading which then spills into other subjects.) The teacher will plan and implement daily lessons across all core subjects using the student’s CFISD Cy-Fair public school curriculum.

The right teacher will be patient, organized, engaging, positive and optimistic. Looking for a teacher to support academic growth, confidence and foundational skills in all core subjects, while monitoring progress and adjusting instruction to address learning gaps and needs. The right teacher will have strong skills in planning differentiated lessons and managing behavior positively. The yearly schedule for this position will follow the CFISD public school calendar.

Teacher candidates should have a minimum BA, at least 3 years of full-time professional teaching experience and Texas state certification. Prior experience teaching in CFISD and/or working with the Cy-Fair curriculum is a plus.
