Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person elementary teacher to homeschool a 6 year old boy who will be in 1st grade at his home in Purchase, NY 10577. This is a great opportunity for the right teacher: a part-time position Monday-Thursday from 8:30am-10:30am teaching reading, writing and math to just one student that pays $100/hour ($800/week). This position is for the 26/27 school year, and will begin on September 8th.

Looking for a teacher to be responsible for all homeschool requirements for a 6 year old boy who is ahead of grade level and enjoys learning. The teacher will plan and implement daily lessons for reading, writing and math (the parents plan to take care of the science and social studies) using the student’s parent-approved curriculum. (The parents are willing to collaborate with the teacher regarding which curriculum will be used, but the curriculum must be Christian-compatible.)

The right teacher will be laid back and easy going, fun and kind. Looking for a teacher to support academic growth, confidence and foundational skills in the three core subjects, and to be responsible for managing and filing the homeschool quarterly report, annual assessments and New York filings. The right teacher will be comfortable and available for teaching reading, writing and math through 5th grade. The yearly schedule for this position will follow most private school calendars, from the beginning of September through the end of May, with summers off.

Teacher candidates should have a minimum BA and at least 3 years of elementary teaching experience. State certification is preferred, but not required. Ability to speak a second language is a plus.
