Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person elementary homeschool teacher to teach all core subjects to a 9 year old boy in 3rd grade at his home in Southlake TX 76092 (near Grapevine) in Dallas-Fort Worth. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time position with part-time hours, Monday - Thursday from 9am-3pm that pays $50/hour ($1200/week). This opportunity will begin in August or September of this year for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

Looking for a creative, engaging, resourceful teacher who can tie learning to actual real life and real world examples. The right teacher should be able to teach all subjects through late elementary and should be looking for a long-term homeschool teaching position, not a casual short-term tutoring role. Well-traveled with international experience is a plus, but not required. The teacher will be responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing a customized homeschool curriculum approved by the parents that does not rely on screens, worksheets or rigid institutional pacing.

The parents are open to collaborating with the right teacher about the curricula, but their educational philosophy aligns with Stoic thought (Socratic approach) and character-centered or virtue-based education. Prior experience with philosophy-informed, Classical, gifted, microschool or Montessori type instruction would be helpful. (The right teacher should believe that education is as much about who a child becomes as what they know.) The teacher will be expected to provide weekly feedback to parents and participate in brief, structured check-ins. Teacher candidates should also enjoy occasional education-related excursions (like trips to the museums) and learning outdoors.

Candidates should have a background in education, tutoring or private instruction, a minimum BA, and at least 3 years of teaching experience. Applicants should also have experience teaching elementary-aged children, possess the ability to design curriculum and adjust pacing based on the child—not a system, and be comfortable serving as both educator and character role model. A teacher with a strong command of math and language arts, along with a professional, composed and organized demeanor who is able to commit to a long-term position would be a good fit. Requirements: A background in education, tutoring or private instruction, minimum BA/BS and at least 3 years teaching experience is required. State teacher certification is preferred, but not required. Must be well-organized and have your own reliable transportation and cell phone. Must be able to commit to a long-term position and teach all subjects at least through elementary, and must be able to design and implement customized curricula that does not rely heavily on screens or worksheets. Must be able to travel to the home of the student in person in Southlake TX 76092 Monday-Thursday from 9am-3pm.
