Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person private teacher to homeschool two children (7 year old boy and 5 year old girl) at their home in Homestead, FL 33033. This is a great opportunity for the right teacher: a part-time position in the mornings teaching two students Tuesday-Friday from 8:30am-12:30pm that pays $45/hour ($720/week). This opportunity begins in September for the upcoming school year.

Looking for a teacher to implement daily lessons across core subjects for two children using the parents’ chosen homeschool curriculum. (The parents are willing to collaborate with the teacher about which curriculum is used, but they are leaning toward either The Good & The Beautiful or Mia Academy.) The teacher will keep the students on track, explain and teach the provided homeschool material, answer questions, facilitate and oversee hands-on projects, and track assessments.

The right teacher will be calm, patient, creative and reactive to each child’s abilities. Looking for a teacher who is good at positive reinforcement, who can provide a more modern approach to education. The right teacher will understand how to teach early elementary, but also how to engage students and encourage a love of learning. The teacher should also be able to keep the parents informed if speeding up or slowing down is needed. Applicants should have a desire to work in homeschool and mixed-age learning settings.

Teacher candidates should have a minimum BA and state certification (any state), along with at least 2 years of elementary teaching experience. Some prior experience working with children who have ADHD is preferred, and bilingual ability in Spanish and English is a plus. Requirements
Must have at least a BA and state teacher certification (any state) along with at least 2 years of teaching experience working with early elementary students. Prior experience working with children who have ADHD is preferred, and bilingual Spanish and English ability is a plus. Must be comfortable teaching all elementary subjects in a homeschool environment through 2nd grade using the parent’s chosen homeschool curriculum. Must have your own reliable transportation & cell phone, and must be able to travel to the location of the students in Homestead, FL 33033 Tuesday-Friday from 8:30am-12:30pm.
