Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person kindergarten teacher to teach all core subjects to a 5 year old boy at his home in Dallas, TX 75230 Monday-Friday mornings from 9am-12pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a part-time position in the mornings teaching just one student that pays $70/hour ($1,050/week). This opportunity is for the upcoming fall school year beginning the last week of August.
Looking for a kindergarten teacher who is able to teach and facilitate all homeschool subjects for a 5 year old boy with dyslexia and a mild speech impediment. He likes learning, and is ready to learn to read. (He finished pre-K 4 last year at grade level.) The family is willing to collaborate with the right teacher about which curriculum is used. The teacher will work to identify educational needs, teach all subjects, and review progress with the parents.
The right teacher will be energetic and eager to teach, encouraging, and reactive to the student’s learning differences. Looking for a teacher who is exciting, warm, patient, nice and friendly. A reading specialist with experience teaching children with dyslexia would be preferred, and the teacher should also have experience understanding little kids with mild speech impediments. The right teacher will be reactive to the student's needs, but also able to provide structure with the curriculum used and keep him moving forward.
Teacher candidates should have at least a BA/BS and state certification, along with a minimum of two years professional classroom teaching experience working with students of this age group. Prior experience working with students who have dyslexia and teaching reading as a specialist or interventionist is preferred.
