Looking for an in-person qualified, dynamic elementary classroom teacher to homeschool a 6 year old boy in first grade, Monday-Friday from 9am-2pm at his home in Montgomery TX 77356, northwest of Spring, The Woodlands and Conroe. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time position teaching one student that pays $75,000/year + Full Cadillac Health Insurance, Long & Short Term Disability, Milage Reimbursement (on work days to & from the home) and Paid Time Off. This is a current opportunity for the upcoming fall 2026/27 school year that begins in August/September.

Looking for a qualified teacher who is creative, fun, engaging and well-read who can teach a 6 year old on an accelerated schedule and keep him ahead of grade level. The right teacher will be able to challenge and motivate a very bright boy who is very imaginative and thinks strategically. Applicants should be familiar with TEKS and aligning academics to state standards, and also have the ability to come up with creative hands-on lesson planning and supplemental activities. The parents are willing to collaborate with the teacher about the curriculum, but the teacher should be capable of making suggestions and then implementing the approved accredited curriculum.

The right teacher will be able to connect and work well with the student by challenging him and inspiring him to stay ahead. Looking for a teacher who is a self-starter, who is comfortable teaching life skills and traditional values, and is able to integrate those lessons into the academics. Candidates should also be able to teach critical and analytical thinking, and help the student formulate his own opinions. Applicants should be comfortable teaching all academic subjects, at least through the 5th grade level (8th grade level is preferred) in a homeschool environment.

Minimum BA and Texas State Certification along with at least 1 year of professional classroom teaching experience is required. Must agree to be responsible for implementing and keeping track of all education requirements, homeschool records, assessments and filings. Must be able to teach all subjects at least through elementary, and must be comfortable teaching in a homeschool environment, as well as a Judaic faith-based environment. Additional ability to teach Middot principles is a plus.

Requirements

Ability to teach Middot principles is a plus, but not required. Prior experience working with gifted students and/or individualized instruction is a plus. Must have your own reliable transportation and cellphone, and must be able to come to the location of the student in Montgomery, TX 77356 Monday-Friday from 9am-2pm.
