Teachers To Go is looking for a full-time in-person special education teacher to homeschool an 8 year old girl with dyslexia and ADHD at her home in North Wales, PA 19454 (north of Philadelphia), Monday-Thursday from 9:30am-2pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time position with Fridays off teaching one student that pays $80,000/year. This opportunity is for the current school year, beginning in October. A female teacher is preferred, since the student is female.

Looking for a teacher who is also a reading specialist with expertise using multisensory methods, who can facilitate all core subjects in a homeschool environment for an 8 year old girl with ADHD and dyslexia. The teacher will be the main educator for the girl, and will teach her using a parent-approved curriculum to try to get her caught up to grade level. (The parents are willing to collaborate with the teacher about the curriculum that is used and the multisensory methods that the teacher recommends.) The teacher will work to assess and identify educational needs and teach all subjects.

The right teacher will be patient, creative, kind, engaging and dedicated. Looking for a teacher who is encouraging and reactive to the student’s abilities and learning differences, who is able to fill in gaps and assist with creating a stronger academic foundation moving forward. The teacher should be able to redirect and take quick breaks when appropriate. Must be experienced and comfortable working with exceptional students who have dyslexia and ADHD.

Teacher candidates should have at least a BA/BS, and a minimum of three years professional teaching experience using multisensory methods in either a special education or inclusion environment. State certification is preferred but not required, and the teacher should be comfortable teaching online at times when the family is traveling on regular work days. Teacher candidates should be familiar with implementing IEPs and working with accommodations for learning differences.

Requirements
BA/BS plus minimum three years professional teaching experience using multisensory methods in either a special education or inclusion classroom is required. Prior experience working with students who have dyslexia and ADHD is also required. State certification is a plus, but not required. Must be comfortable teaching all subjects at all elementary levels in a homeschool environment. Must have your own reliable transportation and cell phone, and must be available to teach at the home of the student in North Wales, PA 19454 Monday-Thursday from 9:30am-2pm. Must have good communication skills, and must be willing to interview in person in North Wales PA 19454 and remotely via live video chat.
