Teachers To Go is looking for a remote online late elementary/early middle school teacher to homeschool an 11 year old boy in 5th grade Monday-Thursday mornings from 8:30am-12:30pm using his online curriculum. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a part-time morning homeschool teaching position teaching one student that pays $40-60/hour ($640-960/week). This is an immediate opportunity for the current 2026/27 school year.
Looking for a professional and experienced classroom teacher who is able to teach all subjects to a boy who is roughly at grade level, but struggles with focus and doesn’t want to do the work. (He especially struggles with math and doesn’t like it because he doesn’t think he is good at it.) The student is enrolled in North Star Academy, and the teacher will have access to the supervisor portal of his curriculum. Applicants must be comfortable teaching bible coursework and components, since it is a Christ-centered curriculum.
The right teacher will be flexible but firm, encouraging, engaging and patient. Looking for a teacher who can make the student comfortable enough to try, but who will also push him to try and make sure he stays on pace. Although the position is remote, the teacher should be consistent and comfortable with the accountability and responsibility of facilitating the student’s education, and must be genuinely interested in his development and well-being. Weekly reports and monitoring will be part of the duties normally, and daily if/when there is a concern. Teacher candidates should have at least a BA (MA is preferred) and minimum of 8 years professional teaching experience.
Requirements: Minimum BA (MA is preferred) and 8 years of professional teaching experience are required. State certification is preferred. Must be comfortable teaching all subjects at the 5th grade level remotely one-to-one using the student’s faith-based curriculum. Must be available to teach Monday-Thursday mornings from 8:30am-12:30pm Eastern Time, must have good communication skills, and must be willing to interview remotely via live video chat.
