Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person elementary homeschool teacher to teach all core subjects to two children (a 7 year old girl & a 5 year old boy) at their home in northwest York, PA 17404. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time homeschool position Monday - Friday from 8am-4pm teaching just two kids that pays $70,000/year + Paid Time Off + Health Insurance + 401K. This opportunity will begin in August for the upcoming school year.

Looking for a positive, punctual, trustworthy and flexible full-time homeschool teacher with good character. The right teacher should be a team player who is able to teach all elementary subjects at least from Kindergarten through 5th grade in a homeschool environment. The teacher will be responsible for overseeing and implementing a homeschool curriculum chosen by the parents. (The parents are leaning toward Liberty University Online Academy, but are open to collaborating with the right teacher about which curriculum is used.)

The right teacher should also be capable of and enthusiastic about adding supplemental hands-on education-related activities and overseeing and facilitating fun activities for the students. Teachers who enjoy the flexibility of sometimes teaching in a different atmosphere (ie: outdoors or at the country club, etc.) would also be a good fit. Taking short education-related excursions at times, and being able to engage the students and keep up with them physically is a plus.

Teacher candidates should have a minimum BA, and at least 2 years of elementary teaching experience is preferred. (Teachers with less than 2 years may be considered if they have a BA that appropriately prepares them to be a professional educator.) Prior homeschool teaching experience is preferred, but not required. Requirements: Minimum BA/BS is required. At least 2 years elementary teaching experience is preferred, but not required if the BA is in education. Some prior experience teaching homeschool is preferred, but not required. Must be well-organized and have your own reliable transportation and cell phone. Must be able to teach all elementary subjects at least through 5th grade and travel to the home of the students in person in York, PA 17404 Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm. Must have good communication skills and be willing to interview in person in York, PA 17404 and via live video chat.
