Teachers To Go is looking for an experienced middle school/elementary classroom teacher to teach all core subjects in-person for a group of 6 students (Kindergarten-8th grade) at their home in Boring, OR 97009, Monday - Friday from 9am-3pm (2-3pm can be used for admin time). This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time position with part-time hours (30 hours/week) that pays $50,000/year + health insurance (after 60 days) + time off during summer and holidays similar to a regular school year.

Looking for a teacher who is fully qualified and able to teach and facilitate all subjects for grades K-8 (especially English language arts, math and science), who will be responsible for teaching and overseeing the Abeka curriculum for all six students. (The family is currently using Abeka, but open to collaborating with the teacher about the curriculum.)

Responsibilities include teaching and guiding the children to learn from their curriculum, reviewing topics and assignments, assisting students with work, projects, test prep, papers, research, and documenting instructional time, assessing and filling in any learning gaps, and reacting and adopting education to each individual child. All six are good students at or above grade level.

The right teacher will have a sense of humor and be patient, organized, and flexible but structured. Looking for a teacher who is comfortable answering questions in creative ways and is reactive to each student's needs.

Teacher candidates should have at least a BA/BS, and a minimum of one year full-time classroom teaching experience. Looking for a long-term relationship with the right teacher. Requirements: BA and minimum one year professional full-time classroom teaching experience at the late elementary or middle school level (preferably both), must be comfortable teaching six students all subjects at the K-8th grade level, must have your own reliable transportation and cell phone, must be able to travel to the home of the students in person in Boring OR 97009 Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm, must have good communication skills and be willing to collaborate with and report to the parents, must be willing to interview in person in Boring OR 97009 and via live video chat.
