Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person kindergarten teacher to teach a 5 year old boy at his home in Calabasas, CA 91302 using his homeschool curriculum. This is a great opportunity for the right teacher: a private homeschool position teaching only one student Monday-Friday mornings 9:00am-12:00pm (or 8:30am-11:30am) that pays $100/hour ($1500/week). On weeks when the family is traveling, Teacher can teach from home using Zoom, but it will only be for 1 hour each morning ($500/week).

Looking for a teacher with a warm personality and positive energy, who loves what they do. The right teacher will have a professional track record as a classroom kindergarten teacher, and be able to focus on the child's development while making learning fun. Looking for a teacher who is creative and smart, genuinely nice, and reactive to the student's needs.

Teacher candidates should have BA or BS (education track preferred), and a minimum of two years professional lower elementary teaching experience in the classroom (specific experience teaching kindergarten is highly preferred). Responsibilities include teaching and guiding the child to learn from parent-approved curriculum. (Parent may be open to collaborating with the teacher about which curriculum is used.)

Requirements

- Must have a BA or BS and minimum of 2 years professional elementary classroom teaching experience. (Experience specifically teaching kindergarten is preferred.)
- Must have your own reliable transportation & cell phone, and must travel to the home of the student in Calabasas CA 91302 Monday-Friday (either from 9:00am-12:00pm, or 8:30am-11:30am).
