Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for an elementary classroom teacher Monday-Thursday afternoons from 1:30pm-4:30pm, to teach all subjects in-person to two children (6 & 7 years old) in 1st and 2nd grade at their home in Miramar, FL 33029. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a teaching position with only two students M-Th afternoons that pays $40/hour, continuing on into next year if things are working out.

The family is looking for an experienced elementary teacher who is organized, structured, punctual, patient and enthusiastic. Looking for a teacher to teach the children mostly separately but occasionally together, using their New Leaf Master Books curriculum. (Prior to that they used FLVS, parent is open to collaborating with the right teacher regarding curriculum.) The right teacher will be able to combine elements of formal classroom learning with creative hands-on practical learning. Looking for a teacher who is a great communicator and able to motivate and discipline, someone who can keep kids moving forward academically but also loves kids and what they do. Ability to also speak and teach Spanish is a plus.

BA and FTCE teacher certification is required, at least three years of prior classroom teaching experience is preferred. Must be authorized to work in the US. Teacher must be willing to collaborate with the parents and use their chosen curriculum, and track progress in a way that can be reported.
