Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for a NY state-certified high school teacher to teach an 11th grade boy Physics & Algebra 2 privately online, using NYS Department of Education approved standards. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right high school Physics & math teacher: a part-time position teaching one student Monday-Friday afternoons from 2pm-4pm (except Thursdays will be from 1pm-3pm or anytime earlier) that pays $65/hour. This is an immediate opportunity for the current school year.

Looking for a teacher who can teach 10th-11th grade Physics and Algebra 2 live online using the NYS standards, while keeping the student engaged, learning, improving and hitting goals. Looking for a teacher who can fill the role of private high school teacher for these two subjects.

The right teacher will be friendly and engaging, and able to make lessons interesting and interactive (ie: not just teaching from textbooks, but using summarized slides and other engaging methods).

Minimum BA/BS with prior professional experience teaching high school students Physics and math in the classroom is required. New York teacher certification with minimum 2 years teaching experience is also required. Must be comfortable teaching and assisting the student with the aforementioned subjects live virtually.

Requirements: must have New York state teacher certification with at least a BA and minimum 2 years of high school teaching experience in the classroom. Must be able to teach high school Physics and Algebra 2. Must be able to communicate well and be willing to collaborate with the parents to provide regular updates, must be available to teach the student live daily on Monday-Friday afternoons from 2:00pm-4:00pm (except 1:00pm-3:00pm or earlier on Thursdays), must be willing to interview on live video chat via Zoom.
