Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for a licensed preschool teacher to provide in-person private tutoring/teaching during after school hours for a 3 year old boy with high-functioning autism at his home in Hephzibah, GA 30815. This is a great opportunity for the right teacher: a weekly private teaching/tutoring position teaching just one student for two hours after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4pm-6pm that pays $40/hour. This is a year round position with an immediate opening to start now in summer for the current school year.

Looking for a certified pre-K teacher with either inclusion or special education experience who will teach and guide a 3 year old boy with high-functioning autism to learn using the Georgia pre-K curriculum, while promoting social and emotional development. Responsibilities include providing personalized instruction and support to promote early childhood development, collaborating and communicating with parents, and creating and maintaining records of the child's development and learning milestones.

Teacher candidates should have a BA or Associate's Degree in early childhood education or a related field, and a pre-K teaching certification or license. The right teacher will have an understanding of diverse learning abilities and strategies to support children with mild special needs or individual learning differences.

Requirements

- Must have a BA or Associates Degree and teaching certification or license to teach prekindergarten.
- Must have some prior experience teaching in an inclusion classroom or special education classroom, and/or working with students who have special needs or individual learning differences. (Prior experience working with students who have high-functioning autism is preferred.)
- Must have your own reliable transportation & cell phone, and must travel to the home of the client in Hephzibah, GA 30815 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4pm to 6pm.
