Teachers To Go is looking for an experienced classroom teacher to teach all core subjects in-person to four students (ages 10-14) at their home in Bristol, CT 06010, Monday - Friday from 9am-2pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time position with part-time hours (25 hours/week) that pays $45/hour ($1125/Week) plus a possible option for benefits. (Must discuss with employer.)

Looking for a teacher who is fully qualified and able to teach and facilitate all subjects for grades 5-9 (especially writing/language arts and math), who will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the Acellus Academy curriculum for all four students. Responsibilities include teaching and guiding the children to learn from their curriculum, reviewing topics and assignments, assisting students with work, projects, test prep, papers, research, and documenting instructional time, assessing and filling in any learning gaps, adding creative hands-on supplemental learning where indicated, and reacting and adopting education to each individual child.

The right teacher will be patient, enthusiastic, engaging, passionate about teaching, empathetic & understanding, observant and reactive to each student's needs. Teacher should also be well-grounded (not uptight), and have the ability to meet each child where he/she is, and then push him/her in a way that is encouraging and constructive to where he/she can go. Two or more of the students have ADD/ADHD and suffer from anxiety, so at least some prior experience working with students with these learning differences is required. Teacher must also be tech-savvy enough to keep up with modern computers and use the children's homeschool program.

Requirements: BA and minimum two years professional classroom teaching experience at the high school or middle school level (preferably both) is required (state certification is preferred), must have the ability to work with students who have ADD/ADHD & anxiety and at least some prior experience working with these learning differences in either an inclusion or SPED classroom, must have your own reliable transportation and cell phone, must be able to travel to the home of the students in person in Bristol CT 06010 Monday-Friday from 9am-2pm, must be able to legally work in the US without sponsorship, must have good communication skills and be willing to collaborate with and report to the parents, must be willing to interview in person in Bristol CT and via live video chat.
