Teachers To Go is looking for an experienced elementary & middle school classroom teacher to teach all core subjects in-person for four boys (ages 5-11, kindergarten-6th grade) at their home in Signal Mountain, TN 37377, Monday - Friday from 9am-5pm. This position is also a travel position (domestic and international often for two months at a time with expenses paid) 3-5 months out of the year, with the rest of the year teaching on-location at the home of the family. Three weeks per year and holidays are offered as paid time off.

This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time position (40 hours/week) that pays $95k/year ($85k base salary plus $5k health insurance stipend and $5k retention bonus after 12 months) with three weeks paid vacation working for a family that travels to exotic locations (domestic and international with full pay and expenses covered) 3-5 months out of the year.

Looking for a teacher who is fully qualified and flexible enough to teach "on the go" using the parent's chosen Classical curriculum. The teacher will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the homeschool curriculum for all four boys, at home and while traveling. Teacher must relocate to the Chattanooga TN area when the family is not travelling, since that is where the family lives.

Responsibilities will include assessing and filling in any learning gaps, while facilitating and documenting their education. The right teacher will also have a strong desire to supplement the curriculum with additional learning opportunities, especially when traveling (history/geography, second language, music, sports, etc.), while encouraging and helping each child to learn and pursue their own individual interests. Prefer a teacher who also likes to include supplemental outdoor learning and field trips as educational opportunities.

Teacher candidates should have a Bachelor's degree or higher, and at least 5 years full-time professional classroom experience in upper elementary and/or middle school. State-certified classroom teachers as well as private school classroom teachers who are not certified may be considered, as long as they have professional classroom teaching experience. Candidates must reside in and be legally able to work in the US, and must have or be willing to get any necessary documentation (US Passport, etc.) and required vaccinations for international travel.

The teacher will teach all four boys, delivering and monitoring their progress and increasing their academic foundation in all core subjects. The teacher will also be expected to facilitate and supplement using helpful, creative and challenging activities. Teacher will organize and deliver all updated reports, grades, and testing requirements necessary, while communicating regularly with the parents. Additional ability to teach a second language, music, and/or sports is a plus, but not required.

Must have good driving record and your own reliable transportation, must go to the home of the students in person at Signal Mountain, TN 37377 Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm and also travel with the family domestically and internationally as needed.
