Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for a full-time homeschool elementary teacher to teach all core subjects in person for a girl in 5th grade and a boy in 2nd grade. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time position in Gilroy, CA Monday-Friday 9am-4pm that pays $50,000/year to teach only two students.

Looking for a professional full-time elementary classroom teacher who genuinely enjoys teaching, with at least a BA and minimum of 2 years full-time late elementary classroom experience at a college prep private or public school. (State-certified multi-subject teaching credential is preferred.) The right teacher will be able to design, aggregate and write customized lesson plans using multiple curricula, and inspire students to think critically and develop a life-long passion for learning.

Looking for a teacher who has excellent written & verbal communication skills and organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy. Must be a team player who is capable and willing to be responsible for providing a rigorous academic curriculum commensurate with a college prep private school. The right teacher will also enjoy taking occasional educational outings with the kids, and provide transportation to enrichment and extracurricular activities at times.

Requirements: This position is in-person, and the family is located in Gilroy, CA 95020. BA is required (BA in education is preferred), along with two years minimum prior elementary classroom teaching experience. (State-certified multi-subject teaching credential is preferred.) Must be willing to travel to the home of the client Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm (instruction will often be done by 2:30 or 3pm, with remaining time for lesson prep). Must have your own reliable transportation and a good driving record.
